"CHILDREN
IN THE MIDDLE"
A single-session parent education program for divorced
and separated parents
Facilitator Training
Children in the Middle is the only proven effective Divorce Education
Program (SAMHSA Model Program) that serves two overall purposes
- To reduce the negative outcomes of divorce helping parents learn
to transition from life partners to co-parents.
- To reduce their children's distress and post-divorce maladjustments
that often leads youth to high-risk behaviors.
As a certified facilitator, you will be able to:
- Effectively use all Children in the Middle and accompanying After
the Storm program materials including use of DVD's and/or videos that
recreate conflict scenarios, and three accompanying easy-to-read parent
manuals.
- Successfully recruit participants by linking with courts, lawyers,
social service agencies and other referring sources of families.
The six-hour Children in the Middle Facilitator Training is $1,200
for a maximum of 25 people plus travel expenses of the trainer. In addition,
the three accompanying manuals for each participant (approximately $10.00
per participant) must be purchased from The Center for Divorce Education
(www.divorce-education.com).
Ellen Taner, MA, CPS is highly effective and motivating. She
is a nationally recognized trainer of several parenting and family education
evidence-based curricula. Working with Ellen deepens one's commitment
